34th BRITISH INTERSCHOOL SKI CHAMPS, GS & Slalom

16th-17th March 2026

The British Ski Academy is delighted to return to VERBIER, SWITZERLAND for the 34th BRITISH INTERSCHOOL SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS

Race piste: "CASINO", La Tzoumaz/Savoleyre

Team Captains’ Meetings

The first TCM will take place at 1800 on 15th March 2026 via Zoom. Bibs will be available at the start area of each day’s event. Race bibs for all events will be collected at the end of the second run in the finish area. Bibs not returned after the race will result in an £80 penalty to the guardian of the athlete.

As soon as possible after Tuesday’s racing we will hold the award ceremonies at the top of the Savoleyre lift.

Race Entry Details

All British competitors must either be registered with their respective Home Nation (Snowsport Scotland, England or Wales) or have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

Athletes Declaration

All competitors must have a current insurance policy that covers them for ski racing. The Organising Committee may require proof of insurance such as a valid governing body race licence or an independent certificate of insurance. No insurance = No Racing All entries should be made via the official online entry system on www.britskiacad.org.uk/events

Entry fees for the 2 day event = £150

Entry fee includes access to gate training on Sunday 15th. A coach or adult will need to be present to take responsibility for ther athlete/s and (ideally) help with course maintenance.

Entry Lists, Bulletins and Zoom links will be circulated via GBSki, BSA social media pages and, from 10 March, an event WhatsApp group.

Lift Passes

Covering a substantial area between Verbier Savoleyre and La Tzoumaz concessionary lift passes can be bought online once we have pricing confirmed. We anticipate another really good deal, similar to last year, which we will circulate to all entrants in good time.

Coaching

  • Coaching and race support £90 per day14th-17th March 2026 inclusive. Spaces will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment. To reserve a space or for further information please contact malcolm@britskiacad.org.uk

Prize Giving

Prizegiving will take place at the top of the Savoleyre as soon as possible after Tuesday's event.

Accommodation and Access

We recommend staying on the La Tzoumaz (north) side of Verbier for ease of access to the race piste and for value deals in the main valley below.

Refunds

Up to 14 March, in the case of withdrawal from any event due to injury refunds will be available on production of a doctor’s letter. Refunds will not be available for adverse weather or snow conditions that result in the cancellation of races. The organisers & hill team will do their utmost to ensure that all of the races are run in full.

Volunteers and Support

Whilst we have a team travelling from the UK for the race, we do require additional help to run the races smoothly. The resort provide gatekeepers so we only require a handful of parents to help with roles such as finish board and marshalling.

Please email: malcolm@britskiacad.org.uk

Equipment

U10/U12s are allowed to compete in catsuits. Racers are reminded that helmets for giant slalom must conform to GB rules, i.e. no soft sides, soft vents, and remove slalom chin guard.

Parents time trial

Just for fun, if time allows after Monday's Mini Giant Slalom we will offer a free timed run to parents of U10/U12 racers. Details nearer the time but we anticipate Parent & Mini Team medals based on aggregate run times.

Conduct

The resort have asked that competitors ski in a safe manner on the public pistes, or with due regard for the safety and enjoyment of other hill users. In particular please slow down well before joining the lift queue. Racers caught skiing dangerously may be excluded from the races. Keep lift passes with you. No ticket, no lift.

And finally, please, let's keep Verbier beautiful -- no littering!
