Fees cover the following items at base*** between 10 Dec 2011 and 07 April, then 08 to 16 April 2012.

·  Full board and lodging
·  Full academic programme
·  Full sports programme
·  Pastoral care and laundry
·  Local transportation  

 

The British Ski Academy frequently arranges programme for trainees who live out.
For a sport + lunch + school programme the fee is 60% of normal fees (see above). The fee for ski training only is £60 per morning or £80 for full day with lunch. Race day support fee is £70 at the British Champs and £60 at all other events.

*Not Included:

  • £50 annual registration fee

  • £100 deposit per week, up to £300. Held separately from fees as a credit on account.

  • All ski passes - depending on time stayed at the BSA's Les Houches base. Initially, weekly ski passes are £100  for under 12's and £115 for 12 and over. Price includes lane hire.

  • Travel to and from home. Geneva Airport transfer fee: £60. Supervised check-ins included. (There is a £30 surcharge when a driver has to wait with an 'unaccompanied minor' until flight departure.) On shared transfers £20 extra due per head with the total cost shared.

  • Excursion costs away from base (Les Houches)

  • Personal ski equipment and competition entry fees (remember to enter on time)

*      Receipt of Application forms 1 and 2 with registration fee (£50) and the deposit (up to £300) before
        31 October 2010 entitles the family to BSA's lower or early booking rate of fees.

**    14 weeks is the maximum time recommended within the 17 week period between 10 December 2011
       and 07 April 2012 of the school term.

***    Base refers to the Etoile des Neiges, the BSA's exclusive chalet-hotel in Les Houches. See location.


Insurance
We recommend your insurance includes cancellation cover in case of illness, injury or unavoidable delay in departure from the UK. For ski racing insurance try: perkins-slade.com or thebmc.co.uk

BSA Bursaries
The BSA exists to raise the standard of British Alpine ski racing. We can discuss bursary awards for talented and deserving racers. However no such bursary will be forthcoming unless the racer's fees are already being paid through the Skiers Trust of Great Britain, see below.

Terms & Conditions

The Contract

(i) The British Ski Academy will confirm your booking with an invoice on receipt of the appropriate deposit and your Acceptance form (Application part 2).

(ii) The terms and conditions set out here, together with your confirmation invoice, comprise the agreement between you and the British Ski Academy.

(iii) Payment of any monies constitutes a commitment to proceed with the booking once your application is confirmed by invoice and those monies are non-refundable unless your booking cannot be fulfilled.

(iv) At the British Ski Academy we undertake to do our utmost to foster your racer's development in the sport of Alpine ski racing, to support their educational programme and to provide for their welfare.

Fees
50% of fees are due six weeks before arrival. (For bookings made within six weeks of arrival the deposit and 50% of fees are due immediately to secure the booking.)
The balance is due no later than two weeks before arrival. (For bookings made within two weeks of arrival, the deposit and 100% of fees are due before the booking can be accepted.)
Please note that we cannot run credit accounts. Children will not be received at the British Ski Academy if fees due have not been paid in full before arrival.

Cancellations
If you want to cancel your booking, you must tell us immediately. If you cancel, you will be liable to pay the cancellation charges set out in the table below. Charges depend on the date when we receive your cancellation.
