APPLICATION

Hike, October 2009

Application Process

We receive enquiries at all times of the year. The stages of application take this into account but school details need not be entered if you are making arrangements with us for out of term training.

In the first instance, please browse through the website, contact us by email or by phone with any queries or to arrange a meeting.

Application Form 1 (Registration)
If you would like to register with the BSA, please print, complete and return our annual registration form - part 1. This may be done at any time during the twelve months preceding attendance.

On receipt of Form 1, BSA consider the criteria for acceptance, the support of the UK school, the most convenient dates, and confirm the availability of a place. (If the BSA is unable to offer a place, the registration fee will be refunded.) Attendance at summer, autumn or winter camps, or term time taster days, is a good way for all sides to find out about each other.

Application Form (Acceptance)
Receipt of Form 2 is the commitment to proceed, and is normally arranged soon after the start of the September term, when the new school year information is known. BSA will liaise between parents and school to ensure that the student attends BSA with a manageable programme of work.

The deposit (up to £300 per student) is a gesture of intent, and becomes a float against sundry expenses when the student arrives at BSA (eg. equipment purchases, pocket money, travel expenses etc.). In the normal course of events "sundries" are accounted for at the end of the season with any credit balance being refunded.

Receipt of Forms 1 and 2 with the registration fee (£50) and the deposit (up to £300) before the end of October 2011 entitles the family to our lower or early booking rate of 2012 fees.
